Introduction
This Skill analyzes the observable hook system within the first three to five seconds of a video, including the opening frame, first spoken line, on-screen text, sound changes, timing of the promise, and connection to later payoff. Frames, dialogue, subtitles, and timestamps receive evidence IDs before clarity, attention, information gap, and promise-to-payoff fit are scored.
Use Cases
It suits short-video opening reviews, long-form introductions, ad first-screen analysis, and competitor hook research. When the original video is unavailable, timestamped frames, clips, subtitles, or sound descriptions can be used. The report stays with evidence in the artifact and does not infer causation from views or promise virality.
Template
Provide the original video or evidence covering 00:00–00:05, along with the title, subtitles, intended audience, and content promise. Example: analyze the first five seconds of an educational video and check whether the opening question, counterintuitive line, and later answer align.
